    I saw a similiar story earlier and I am extremely interested. I would trade my ChromeBook for an AndBook in a second.

    Was asking you (CBowley). I haven't extensively used Android, and your comment that you'd trade to an Andbook "in a second" jumped at me. Was curious if that was due to need to feature set relationship, dissatisfaction with the CR48, etc. Don't read any judgement into the question--am just interested in the logic/thought process.

    For my 2c...
    I can think of a long list of thing that Android can do, and that Chrome can't.
    I can't think of anything that Chrome can do that android can't, although the lack of real estate on an Android phone to have its own challenges...

    Relative to 'long list of things Android can do...that Chrome can't'---like what? My familiarity with Android--very limited--is simpy phones.

    Android has apps. Chromebooks have apps.
    Android has mobile browsing. Chromebooks have mobile browsing.
    Android makes phone calls. Chromebooks can make phone calls via Gmail Chat.
    Android can text. Chromebooks can text via Google Voice.
    Android is touchscreen. Big whoop. Chromebooks have a full-size keyboard.
    There is nothing I can't do on my Chromebook that I can't do with an iPhone/Android Smartphone.

    Oh, let's not forget that Chromebooks don't have a tiny screen.
    An attitude to emulate: "We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things not because they are easy, but because they are hard."

    OK, so most of the advantages Android has are due to better dev support and better apps, but advantages are still advantages. Android supports many more media formats, DLNA, DSP, file management, offline productivity, working GPS, etc.

    I'm hoping Chrome is going to catch up and the apps will be at a similar level one day, but at the moment, there are a lot of Chrome apps that are nothing more than bookmarks...
