Hello to all. I have my Samsung CromeBook on order from Amazon, and hopefully it will arrive early next week before I head back out on the Rodeo Circuit. I provide Sound for Arena events throughout the western states.

Ordered the ChromeBook to have a small, handy device to gt email, surf, and maintain a few documents.

I am in a pretty rough environment most of the time. Dust, dirt, and that stuff that looks like guacamole. LOL It's going to be interesting to see how the ChromeBook holds up.

    Congrats & Welcome!

Hope it meets, or exceeds your expectations!

Wanted o pass along a thought in case it may be helpful: Consider getting a Pelican case.
I got the 1080 model for my cr-48 and NEVER been sorry! It will take the beating rather than your Samsung!!
You may need to consider a slightly different model of Pelican case for best fit. In addition, I do have a separate case case for my ac adapter and accessories. That makes it easy to shove in any old bag that doesn't draw attention to it and say "STEAL ME".

    Enjoy your new Chromebook!!!

    Best Regards, Rick

Thanks for the welcome. Unfortunately my first experience with the ChromeBook did not go well.

I deplore touch pads, and use the Logitech M570 Wireless (via the Logitech Unifying Remote) on all my computers and laptops.

Plugged in the Unifying Remote to the ChromeBook USB Port, and turned the Trackball every way but loose (On - Off - Batteries Out - etc.) and the Trackball was not recognized by the ChromeBook.

I had read somewhere that there is a small Logitech Wireless Mouse that does work with the ChromeBook, and does use the Unifying Remote. Does Anyone have that Mouse Model?

I'll keep searching, and should I find a solution create a Post on the Forum.

Logitech wireless trackball & keyboard installation

Solved the problem of the M570 Trackball and the K270 Wireless (Unifying Remote) not working with the ChromeBook.

There is no way to Pair the devices on the ChromeBook, since we cannot run the Unifying Remote Software.

Pair the devices on a computer that can run the Unifying Remote Software. Then move the Unifying Remote to the ChromeBook (I used the right hand USB Port and did not check operation on the Left USB Port).

Both the M570 Trackball and the K270 worked. The additional function of the Forward Button, Back Buttons, and Double Click pushing the Scroll Wheel do not work since the Drivers are not in the ChromeBook.

Hello Alice - welcome to the forum!
Actually, I'm not a developer - but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
