So I am THIS close to pulling the trigger on an Acer Chromebook. However, did the Netflix Chrome OS plugin ever get released?
Haven't heard anything yet... they promised it will be supported so as of right now it's just a waiting game.

It's out now and works great on the Series 5
Now that there appears to be support for Netflix in Chrome OS, does anyone know if/when/hopw this might be rolled into the opensource code set? For instance when can we exptect to see Netflix support in Chrome OS Vanilla rather than in just the OS shipped with specific Chromebooks ?

That would seem too bad.
Think of it this way, anyone they can get to participate in the OS, whatever flavor, would add "weight" to spur development. Especially while Chrome OS remains in development, Chromium OS could add interest and that might result in a future adopter of Chrome OS and the hardware that is still to come.......
Just an idea.....
