Unable to load most Google pages on a fresh install
Today I just installed Flow on my HP G71 laptop, and I've been unable to connect to the majority of Google's sites. Plain old google.com works, as well as code.google.com and maps.google.com, and in fact every page outside google.com that I have tried has loaded just fine. But google docs, gmail, google calendar, chrome themes, and more say "This webpage is not available." and give me the following error: Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): Unknown error.
I searched around quite a bit, and can't find anybody with my same problem. Assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

just going to list the different Google apps that work and don't work
Works:
Google Search (including instant), Google Maps, Google Translate, Google Books, Google Finance, Google Scholar, Google Blogs, Google Realtime, Google Reader, Google Code, and Youtube
Don't Work:
Gmail, Picasa, Google Bookmarks, Google Docs, Google Calendar, Fusion Tables, Google Sites, Chrome Extensions and Chrome Themes
Now that I've actually gone through a lot of their apps that I don't use, I'm realizing that I should have named the thread "Unable to use most Google pages that I use on a fresh install" because most of them work

It's probably because the old version doesn't html5? That's just a guess. Use a "daily build" Flow is dated.
**Please search before asking questions***
Why wait for CR48..? Try
Chrome OS Now.

I tried using Vanilla first, but it did not support my wireless card

I have a HP G71 also and have the same exact problem as you, I also have tried the Vanilla builds and those didn't work, and I have yet to find a solution to this. Another thing i find strange is i can ping the websites, so it's not a problem with the network or wireless card, so it has to be the build, but is not a problem with not supporting HTML5 as CBowley603 suggested, because other websites using HTML5 work. But sadly Flow isn't being updated anymore, which means this problem won't be solved with an update. So i guess we can either just live without the google websites, or wait and see if a vanilla build comes out that supports the wireless card.

Vanilla builds for HP?
I have the same problem with an HP 110. Has anyone found a Vanilla build that works with HP netbooks?

I have the same problem on Lenovo Thinkpad T400s.
I got the feeling that the error occurs only for https.... google pages. Any ideas?
