They've had online (cloud) storage for awhile. The real innovation is cloud storage of music, upgrading you from 5GB to 20 for free with a music purchase (an album) and not counting any amazon music purchases against your storage quota. Cloud music storage is what got mp3tunes sued out of existence by the record companies. But Amazon is the labels only alternative to iToons, who they fear will dominate that business. It will be interesting to watch how this plays out. Amazon has not (yet?) done any special cloud licensing with the labels, and it's not clear that they need to anyway.
