Anyone notice Netflix's personal letter to Chrome Pilot users?
"Dear Chrome Pilot user,
Streaming is not currently supported on your device. We're working with Google to ensure that Chrome Notebook users can instantly watch TV shows and movies from Netflix. More details will be announced in the coming months.
Note that your current Internet browser is fully compatible with adding titles to the Instant Queue for later watching on compatible devices."
When you try and start a Watch Instant movie, you will get the incompatibility screen with the personal message on your CR-48

That would be HUGE for me...it IS my tv.

Haha I hadn't noticed the personal message.
But yeah, until Microsoft allows for Moonlight to use the Silverlight DRM we can't watch =\ luckily Chrome is run by Google... and if anyone can get Microsoft to speed it up it's them.

This would greatly increase my Cr-48 usage. I haven't been using my Cr-48 as much as I thought I would, it's just far more convenient to use my desktop since its several orders of magnitude more powerful than the chrome laptop. I'd definitely be watching Netflix and using my Cr-48 more though when Netflix is compatible.

Why wait for CR48..? Try
Chrome OS Now.

I can't wait either myself, I use the chromebook a lot. But I would use it all the time if I had Netflix on it as well.

Hey I found this article by a guy who was able to mess with Chrome and get it to play Netflix. What do you guys think?

Chrome isn't actually the issue, Frank, Linux is. So while we could trick Chrome into allow Silverlight to run, silverlight doesn't run on Linux systems.

Has anyone tried using SilveOS App to make Netflix work?
