    Printing issues

Hey folks, has anyone else experienced some issues with cloud printing? Whenever I print a document from Google Docs, the last line or two on each page is cut off.

It is quite maddening as you can imagine. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to correct it?

    Buehler? Buehler?

Is anyone else having these issues? Even if you're not, can you just let me know so I know it's my Cr-48/Google Cloud Print issue and not a universal issue?

I haven't tried printing anything yet, as my desktop isn't set up and I actually currently don't have a printer.

However, as a suggestion, have you tried printing an email or something, to see if it also crops off the last couple of lines? Just to see if it's specifically an issue with Google Docs, or the printing in general?

I haven't tried from my Chrome CR-48, but whenever I print from Google Docs using Chrome or Chromium I have print problems. I can try printing from Google Docs itself (which opens up various pdf viewers, depending on the OS) or from the wrench icon in Chrome or Chromium.

I've tried printing from Google Docs on Manhattan OS, Pardus, Windows XP and now Elementary Alpha. Does not seem to matter the OS for me...the formatting is changed or a couple lines are cut off...very frustrating. Glad I don't save everything in the cloud.

I haven't tried anything from the Cr-48 yet, here either. All I have are Macs at the house, and thus no cloud print support yet. I did use cloud print earlier today from my iPhone to print to a printer at work. That worked flawlessly. I'm taking my Cr-48 to work tomorrow (to show off ), so I'll try it then.

Thanks Pirate Mom, at least I know I'm not alone in this issue. Google best get its act together with this if it wants Cloud Print to catch on. I consider it useless until this issue is fixed.

    Cr-48, Google Docs, printing problems

Today I had an important document that I needed to type, print, proof and save as a pdf file for emailing. I did a rather thorough test. I typed the document in Google docs on the Cr-48. For proofing, I attempted to print the 5-page document using CloudPrint.

The last 2 lines of pages 1-4 were either missing or garbled. I went to my Windows Vista 64-bit laptop and printed from Google Docs using the Chrome browser with no problems.

Because this isn't the first time I've seen this issue, I've concluded that the problem is either a Google Docs problem or a CloudPrint problem. Either way it can be duplicated.

    FYI.

It worked for me just fine for me, first time, no fuss.

I was using an IBM Thinkcentre M51 as the chrome browser host connected via cat-5e through a D-link gigibyte switch connected through a Trendnet Wifi/router to an ancient HP Jet-Direct 300 print server and an even more ancient HP1100 laser printer.

I only printed a page or maybe two of a web page I was pointed at in the Cr-48 as a test. I am not in the habit of using much paper here and it was nothing near complex as far as formatting -not a PDF or other office-type application document of that nature. I should have given it something more complex if only I had thought of it.

I hope if there is a google cloud issue it gets worked out soon.

I've had no problems printing from the cloud , I haven't printed from docs and haven't printed since I switched to dev mode. I will make a point to print a doc tonight.

I printed a few test pages just now and everything is OK , printed from docs with no problems.
