Upcoming software/Flash update
Has anyone heard anything about an upcoming software build update? or maybe heard of an update for flash? flash is absolutely terrible in Chrome OS. Even when I'm on FaceBook and typing in the IM, the typing is laggy but when I opened the task manager and killed Flash, the typing was in real-time again. What I really don't get is how Hulu is really choppy and unwatchable but YouTube seems un-affected most of the time. Don't they both rely on Flash? I read somewhere that Adobe was aware of the issue and was working on it, but I read that on a blog or something. I couldn't find anything solid from Adobe saying anything about Chrome OS at all.

As I understand it, updates are a little different on Chrome, too. When you reboot, part of the process is to check for and 'install' the latest updates. It's automatic.

The build number has stayed the same. I mean when are they going to release another build? (it would have a different version number)

Flash is a resource hog. Remember these things only have a 1/6G processor. Flash it choppy and slow on my Netbook too. Flash just sucks. Youtube also works fine on my netbook. I think Adobe just needs to figure the issue out and fix it.

I couldn't agree with you more and that was pretty much my question.
Here is the blog from Adobe

They update the browser to a new beta almost every other day, its at version 10 now. I think they should do the same with chrome. The OS is pretty much just the browser from what I understand. But I am sure they know what they are doing. Can't complain really, this little thing is doing pretty much everything I want it to. Even found a speech to text extension like the one on my Droid, very cool.

Are you on Windows? I'm pretty sure with Windows you have to update everything manually.
