Struggling with PC separation?

PC's may not have been around as long as dinosaurs, or even car, but when it comes to Chrome OS some people are having a hard time letting go (me for one). I thought I'd start a thread to share tips on dealing separation anxiety where the PC is concerned...


Here's a few ideas, to get the ball rolling:


Missing that PC "feel"? Try ZeroPC (app in the Store)
I tried JoliCloud, but really didn't like the way it slowed my Chromebook down. I like the idea, just not the performance. I happened to stumble upon ZeroPC, and love the PC desktop feel (especially in full screen), and think the fact that it integrates with so many other services (Dropbox, Facebook, Quicken, etc) just amazing!! I had a few suggestions with this app, emailed the support and got an instant response which has since been implemented - a great plus for any app!


Zipped files:
There's not many options for playing around with zips. Zoho Docs has some limited options, and Dropbox will also zip multiple download together. I've not found any apps that will unzip files, but WobZIP (.com) is an online solution that seems to work pretty well - still not found an options for .tar.gz files yet though?


Writing music scores?
I'm into music, and I like to compose music scores and write them down. There's a lot of PC programs that do this very well, but not many options for the cloud. Fortunately, I managed to find NoteFlight (.com), which is a great online solution!

Define "PC". Hold on I will, personal computer. Any chromebook qualifies as this. Besides the misuse of PC ithink this is a good topic.
